Security glass and sensors
Glass is often seen as the weak point of a home or business. The right glass, properly fitted, makes a big difference to how safe and secure a building is.
We specialise in security glazing, including toughened and laminated glass, and we install Jubilee Security and Kubu smart sensors for doors and windows.

Who it suits
Toughened and laminated security glass, plus Kubu smart sensors that tell you when a window or door is open or unlocked.
- Ground-floor windows and back doors
- Shopfronts and offices
- Homes near busy streets
- Anyone who wants to know their home is locked up
Why choose security glazing from us
Toughened glass
Much stronger than ordinary glass, and breaks into small, blunt pieces.
Laminated glass
Holds together when broken, making it much harder to get through.
Smart sensors
Kubu alerts on your phone when a window or door is left open or unlocked.
Toughened and laminated glass
Toughened glass is heat-treated to make it much stronger than ordinary glass. If it does break, it shatters into small, blunt pieces rather than sharp shards, which is why it’s used as safety glass in doors and low-level glazing.
Laminated glass has a tough interlayer bonded between two panes. When it’s struck, the glass may crack but the interlayer holds it in place, so it’s much harder to break through. It also helps to reduce noise.

Jubilee Security installation
We install Jubilee Security products as part of our security glazing work. Ask us which options suit your property.
Kubu smart door and window sensors
Kubu is a smart, discreet way to keep track of your home’s doors and windows. Sensors fitted to them send accurate, timely alerts to an app on your phone.
- Family sharing: keep the whole household connected with live updates, wherever they are.
- Perimeter security: secure the edges of your property without spoiling how the windows and doors look.
- Smart integration: for example, turn off the heating when a window is opened, or ask Alexa whether your home is secure.

Common questions
What’s the difference between toughened and laminated glass?
Toughened glass is heat-treated to be much stronger and breaks into small, blunt pieces. Laminated glass has an interlayer that holds the glass together when it breaks, so it’s harder to get through. They can be combined in one sealed unit for strength and security.
Can Kubu sensors be added to my existing windows and doors?
